A 17th century small-format Latin Bible, printed in France. The Bible follows the standard Vulgate translation, and features a frontispiece and a preface for teachers. 180X115mm. 947 pages. Brown leather hardcover with gilt decoration on spine and edges. Cover stiff. Cover worn and slightly bumped. Cover edges slightly bumped. Pen inscriptions on rear whitepage, title page and parallel to title page. Edges of first few pages slightly rough. Pages yellowing. Page edges slightly stained. Few pages slightly dog-eared. This 300 year old Catholic Bible is otherwise in good condition for its age.
