RARE orchestral score of a concerto for violoncello and orchestra titled "Almost a Tree" written by the eminent Japanese composer of contemporary classical music Shin-ichiro Ikebe (b.1943), also renowned for the scores for many films by Akira Kurosawa and other Japanese film directors (Kurosawa`s `Kagemusha`, `Dreams`, `Rhapsody in August`, `Madadayo`; Masahiro Shinoda`s `MacArthur`s Children`, Shohei Imamura`s `Warm Water Under a Red Bridge`). The concerto was written in 1996 for the Cencury Orchestra Osaka who gave the commission and the first performance. 360x260 mm. 45 pages. Softcover. Cover rubbed and slightly wrinkled.
