Binding slightly visible between front whitepage and pre-title page, and between few pages. Page 147-148 detached from binding. Pages slightly age-stained and rough-cut (as published). [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare and beautifully illustrated edition of a seminal novel by one of the most influential 19th-century French writers is otherwise in good condition.
