RARE FIRST EDITION of Serge Klarsfeld`s facsimile of the unique photo album found by Lili Jacob. The album, containing 193 photographs taken at Auschwitz, depicts the arrival of a transport of Hungarian Jews, showing thousands of individuals (most of whom were subsequently sent directly to the gas chambers). It is the only known set of photographs taken at Auschwitz during its operation. The facsimile is preceded by several pages of introductory text by Klarsfeld, in French. 305x235 mm, unpaginated.
