SIGNED AND DEDICATED THIRD EDITION COPY of Max Nordau`s essay on a possible solution to the Jewish Question, originally written well before the advent of Political Zionism. Signed on front pre-title page by Max Nordau with a dedication to short-fiction French author Gaston Danville: "A M. Gaston Danville, au poëte, au penseur, M. Nordau". 205x140 mm, 414 pages. Rebound marbled green hardcover with quarter-leather ribbed black spine. Includes two title-pages inside, one from the 3rd and one from the 4th edition (the text is third edition). [CONDITION:] Cover slightly scratched, cover edges slightly worn. Spine very lightly faded. Front and rear hinges cracked near top (no danger of disintegration). At least one marking in blue pencil on contents page. Outer paper block edge stained. [SUMMARY:] Despite some light damage due to previous ownership, this signed book is in very good condition for its age.
