Description
VERY RARE collection of 48 drawings by Chinese multi-disciplinary artist Feng Zikai (transliterated as "Tse-Kai"), all from between 1925 and 1935 (during the early Chinese Civil war, but before the Japanese invasion). Feng`s simple drawings by Chinese brush depict scenes of daily and family life, focusing mostly (but not exclusively) on children in various situations. Each drawing is captioned in English, titling it and translating any Mandarin text appearing in it. The reproductions are high-quality prints, pressed directly onto each page in glossy ink. [ATTRIBUTES:] 190x135mm, 95pp. Off-white board hardcover with tan cloth spine. [CONDITION:] Rear cover very slightly dirty. Top cover corners lightly bumped. Pen inscription on front whitepage reads "Zum 7.8. im liebe! (1962)". Otherwise in excellent condition.
