The English translation of the book was published on the occasion of the Crimean war. This book includes 13 fold-out maps and battle plans. 230x150mm. VI+476 pages. Red cloth Hardcover with gilt lettering on spine. Cover and spine stained. Cover corners bumped and peeling. Cover edges bumped in several places. Spine upper edge missing, bottom edge peeling, front hinge partly peeling. Binding slightly visible between front whitepage and title page. Page 459/460 upper left corner and fore edge partly taped - NO damage to text. Pages 257-272 coming loose from binding. Small pen inscription on title page. Pages rough-cut as published and slightly wavy. Pages yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare book is in good reading condition.
