Contains both volumes of "Iuris Civilis Romani", and a third volume called "Authenticae seu Novellae Constitutiones" by the eminent German jurist and philosopher from Eisenberg, Thuringia Johann Gottlieb Heineccius (1681-1741), professor of philosophy in the University of Halle from 1713, and professor of jurisprudence from 1718 in the same university, later also in the Universities of Franeker in Holland and of Frankfurt, finally returning to Halle in 1733 as professor of philosophy and jurisprudence. 225x160mm. XLVI+1144+520+340 pages. Contemporary leather Hardcover with gilt lettering on spine. Cover scratched and stained. Cover corners slightly worn. Spine hinges partly cracked. Sticker residue on spine bottom edge. Spine gilt faded. Endpapers redone. Some page edges/corners worn. Pages browning and wavy. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare, still tightly bound book, is in good condition for its age.
