RARE book of short essays (Fragmente) on the history of the Jewish community in Vienna by the Austrian writer Gerhard Robert Walter von Coeckelberghe-Dützele (1786-1857), who also wrote under the pseudonyms: Realis and Severin. He is best remembered today for his main work - the two-volume `Curiositäten- und Memorabilienlexikon von Wien` (1846). Includes frontispiece of the "Juden-Thurm" ("The tower of Jews") in Austria. Text in Gothic lettering (Fraktur). 110x180mm. 94 pages. Softcover. Cover browning, wrinkled and slightly stained. Cover edges and corners wrinkled. Small stamp on rear cover. Spine edges partly missing. Text block edges and pages slightly age stained.Pages slightly yellowing. [SUMMARY]: The book is in good reading condition.
