RARE! A later edition of an illustrated Hebrew Haggadah from early years of the State of Israel. It was edited and illustrated by M. Cohen to commemorate his son, Alexander I. Cohen who died during the war of 1948, as part of the Convoy of 35 (Lamed-He) who rushed to help the Jewish kibbutzim of Gush Etzion. The book features numerous text decorations and original illustrations of Jewish and Israeli themes, most of them in color. The whitepage carries dedication and autograph of publisher Shmuel Eliyahu. 240x170mm, 44 pages. Illustrated quarter-cloth hardcover. Cover worn and bumped at several places. Cover edges and corners bumped. Inner cover stained. Pages slightly yellowing. This old and rare Israeli Haggadah is in good condition.
