Mary Wigman (1886-1973), a German dancer, choreographer, and dance instructor, a pioneer of expressionist dance, and one of the most iconic figures of the Weimar republic rarely signed her own books, which makes this exemplar all the more unique. 290x235mm. 118 pages. Illustrated Hardcover with cloth spine. Black lettering on spine. Cover corners slightly bumped, front cover upper corner worn. Cover edges slightly rubbed. Spine bottom edge and rear hinge upper part slightly stained. Small stain on front inner cover and small hole on first whitepage. Mary Wigman`s signature and dedication on second whitepage. Pages slightly yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This rare monograph on modern dance, written and signed with dedication by one of the most important figures in the history of European dance, is in good condition.
