RARE monograph on the passage in the Talmud (Avodah Zarah 10a-b), according to which Judah haNasi had a close friendship with "Antoninus", possibly the Emperor Antoninus Pius, who would consult Judah on various worldly and spiritual matters. 215x150mm. 64 pages. Quarter-cloth marbled rebound Hardcover. Page edges marbled. Cover and spine slightly stained. Cover edges slightly bumped and worn. Spine fading. Spine bottom edge bumped. Sticker on spine. Sticker residues on spine bottom edge and hinges. Correction fluid writing on spine bottom edge. Pen marks on whitepage and front inner cover upper corner. Ex-library copy with small stamps on title page and several other pages. Pages yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare study of an obscure passage in the Talmud is in good condition.
