Heineccius belonged to the school of thought that attempted to base civil law on natural law, rather than on mere convention. The book includes indices and several text decorations. 200x130mm. XIV+342 pages [+20 unpaginated index pages]. Brown leather Hardcover. Page edges dyed red. Cover worn, curved and rubbed. Holes on spine. Spine upper edge tattered and partly missing. Pencil inscriptions on rear endpaper. Pages yellowing, wavy and slightly age-stained. [SUMMARY]: Save for some damage to cover, this 250 year old legal textbook is in good condition for its age.
