RARE first edition of the monograph on immortality in medieval Jewish philosophical tradition by the Austrian Rabbi Dr. Bernhard Templer. The chapters dealing with Jewish medieval philosophical doctrines and beliefs concerning immortality are preceded by an introductory chapter dealing with belief in immortality in the Bible and Talmud; the appendix deals with the relation of Jewish medieval philosophers` teaching on immortality, compared with the prevailing philosophical traditions on the same subject, mainly Platonic and Aristotelic. [SUMMARY]: Though in need of some external restoration, the inside of this book is preserved very well; accordingly this extremely rare book is still in good reading condition.
