RARE handsome facsimile edition of a small collection of Haftarot of the type used by the Jewish children of Urbino. The 32 pages of the Haftarot booklet are lavishly decorated with floral patterns and illustrations of the Urbino synagogue, along with other Jewish motifs. The booklet is in its original size, and is accompanied by introductory texts in Hebrew and Italian. 205x135mm. 27+33+31 pages. Red cloth Hardcover. Gilt emblem on front cover. Gilt lettering on spine. Cover slightly dirty. Text block edges and pages slightly yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This rare book, a testimony to the cultural wealth of the Jewish community in Urbino, is otherwise in very good condition.
