EXTREMELY RARE yearly collection of issues of Jewish illustrated newspapers published in Tel-Aviv during the 1930s. The issues feature little text (mostly in Hebrew, sometimes with English translation as well) and numerous b/w photographs pertaining to major events of the time: Japan`s secession from the League of Nations, persecution of Jews in Germany, the Arab riots, the war in Ethiopia and so forth. The issues also contain a wealth of information on sports, theater, exhibitions, history, gossip, fashion and lifestyle. 335X250mm, no consistent pagination (about 500 pages). Bound in black cloth hardcover. Cover slightly worn. Pages yellowing, some brown. The issues of these rare Hebrew newspaper are otherwise in very good condition.
