Single volume featuring two titles from the year 1886: 1) `Sifre De-Agadta`, a collection of exegetic (Midrash) literature pertaining to the book of Esther, based on three ancient Hebrew manuscripts, compiled, edited, prefaced and annotated by Jewish-Galician scholar Salomon Buber, grandfather of Martin Buber; 2) `Sefer Halachot Psukot`, a collection of Halachic rulings from the Geonic period, mistakenly attributed to Yehudai Gaon. 240x150mm. [XIV+112] + [X+148] pages. Marbled quarter-leather Hardcover. Cover and spine worn, bumped and peeling. Spine pierced at several places. Small tear on rear whitepage edge. Pages yellowing. [SECOND TITLE]: Two wormholes extend from rear endpaper throughout the pages bottom edge - NO damage to text. Pages 125-128 bottom corner slightly tattered - NO damage to text. [SUMMARY]: This rare annotated edition of the old Midrashim and Responsa is otherwise in good condition.
