RARE collection of homilies and Bible commentary printed in the Island of Djerba in Tunisia, home to a prosperous and highly traditional Jewish community. The book was written by R. Samuel Tayeb, a descendant to a long line of Tunisian rabbis, who eventually migrated to Israel and settled in Tiberias. 245x165mm. 136 double pages. Rebound in blue cloth hardcover. Cover slightly worn. Title page and last two pages torn at several places, but taped together (title page also repaired). Pages yellowing. Save for some light wear, this rare book is in good condition.
