RARE facsimile edition of the English translation of a classic Renaissance courtesy-book written by Annibale Romei of Ferrara, who was undoubtedly influenced by his great predecessor Castiglione. The first edition appeared in 1585 and a revised edition was published the following year. After the French translation that appeared in 1595, the English version by John Kepers was published in 1598 and was even more successful than Castiglione`s `Il Cortigiano`. 220x145mm. XXI+295 pages.
