Rebound white cloth Hardcover. Whitepages, title page and first 12 pages bottom corner missing - no damage to text. Both whitepages and title page edges slightly tattered - no damage to text. Ex-library copy with stamp on whitepages, title page, and page 287 outer edge. Several wormholes on first and last pages with slight damage to text, but still readable. Small wormhole penetrating the bottom edge of pages 1-84 and the inner edge of pages 11-94 - NO damage to text. Small wormhole penetrating into first 84 pages with slight damage to few letters of the text, but still readable. Pages browning, some pages age-stained. [SUMMARY]; This extremely rare book, one of the first critical inquiries into Talmudic literature written by an eminent figure in the Jewish Enlightemnent Movement, has suffered some damage, but is still in good reading condition.
